I provide flexible care for children from 6 weeks old through to 13 years of age. This allows for a continuity of care unrivalled by any other form of childcare.
The children are cared for in a safe, secure environment with learning opportunities integrated into our daily routine. We walk to school so that we can spot the changes happening to the plant and wildlife throughout the year.
The small number of children I cater for, up to 3 under 5 year olds, enables me to give a lot of individual attention and allows the children and myself to develop a close relationship. I am aware of the parents intricate relationship and hope to enhance their relationship by giving the parents and child a caring and happy environment for their child to develop and grow.
I have a separate sleeping area for babies, a playroom, an internet linked computer, a playstation 2 and games, a quiet area, numerous books and board games, and a huge amount of toys aimed at all ages.
As part of the Bedfordshire Network, I am assessed by the Co-ordinator bi-annually to ensure I continue to work towards the NCMA Quality Standards and the EYFS, and that I am continuing to provide good quality education for the children receiving funding for their Early Years Education.
I have a comprehensive list of policies that I share with parents, these lay down the ground rules to help parent’s understand my views, beliefs and practices concerning childcare. They include Safeguarding Children, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Behaviour Management, Learning and Development, and Nutrition.
